Having visited Enoshima on a job from Parallel Flight, Astar finds himself wishing to free the local children from their fear of Kaibutsu through the wonder of marine sports.
After all, as a young child he once described his dream of becoming Santa to the southern hemisphere, and that desire has been clearly reflected in the swimwear and paddle blade Parallel weapon that comprise his new suit.
Using a perfect sense of balance gained from operating his "sled," he guides his surf board Parallel Weapon with his paddle to shred waves and Kaibutsu alike.
