Basics
Exploring the Unknown: The Archaeologist and the Land Lost to Time is a quest where players challenge uncharted lands and confront the boss awaiting them at the deepest depths.
Challenge an unknown territory that changes its appearance each time you enter, and aim for the deepest depths while acquiring temporary power-ups known as "Support Skills."
And more,This quest can be attempted as many times as you like with 0 Stamina consumption!
Additionally, your score will be calculated each time you play, and you can earn rewards based on your cumulative total.
By progressing further into the map, you can achieve a higher score.
Cooperate with your contracted Heroes and Sidekicks to aim for a full exploration of the deepest depths!

Selecting an Exploration Mode
By tapping "Start Exploration(探索開始)" on the portal screen, you will transition to the mode (difficulty) selection screen.
Once a mode is selected, it cannot be changed until the current exploration ends.
Exploration Mode Types
In Exploring the Unknown: The Archaeologist and the Land Lost to Time, alongside the Normal Mode, there is a "Pickaxe Mode" which features a reduced difficulty.
You can use a Hero's "Pickaxe Mode",the score earned per exploration is lower than in Normal Mode.However, adjustments have been made, such as starting the exploration with the Support Skill "Marfik's Pickaxe" and preventing certain enemies that appear in Normal Mode from spawning.

Regarding the Map
Unlike regular quests, "Exploring the Unknown" features a map.
The map's content changes each time you start a new exploration, with routes and enemies shifting accordingly.
Players select from sectors placed on the map while aiming to defeat the boss at the deepest depths.
Upon entering a sector, a battle will occur.
After clearing the battle, you can select the next area to proceed to from those connected to your current area.
Routes from your current area to reachable areas are indicated by "Blue Lines", and the path you have traveled is shown by "Red Lines".
Additionally,the map can be scrolled up and down
Be sure to check the route beforehand to ensure you can maneuver to your advantage.
Regarding Areas
A battle with a different enemy awaits in each area on the map.
To progress further into the map, you must win the battle in each area.
The strength of the enemies awaiting in each area varies by the area icon.
Additionally, even for the same type of area, enemies will grow stronger as you progress further into the map.
The types of areas are as follows.

 Elite Battle | This is a battle with a higher difficulty than a Normal Battle. There is a higher chance of discovering rare Support Skills compared to a Normal Battle. |
 Midboss Battle | This is a battle with a higher difficulty than an Elite Battle. Rare Support Skills can be discovered, but the enemies are also significantly stronger. Each time an exploration begins, one out of three types of Midbosses will be selected. (In Pickaxe Mode, one fixed type will be selected.) |
 Boss Battle | This is the final battle of the exploration. Do your best to complete the exploration safely! Each time an exploration begins, one out of three types of Bosses will be selected. (In Pickaxe Mode, one fixed type will be selected.) |
Regarding Support Skills
In Exploring the Unknown, you can obtain "Support Skills" each time you win a battle.
After a battle,you can choose one from three options, and it will strengthen your team by taking effect from the next battle.
You can check the list of obtained Support Skills on the map screen or the "Team Formation" screen.
Support Skills have rarities,and by engaging in battles with stronger enemies, the chance of obtaining a "higher rarity Support Skill" increases.
Rarity is indicated by the color of the Support Skill's display frame, as shown below.

You can obtain up to 7 Support Skills in a single exploration ("up to 8 in Pickaxe Mode", including Marfik's Pickaxe).
Once an exploration ends, the Support Skills obtained during that exploration will be reset and "cannot be carried over" to the next exploration.
Regarding Team Formation
For all slots in the team used to challenge battles, you can organize characters you have contracted with yourself.
Support characters from other players cannot be used.
You can save up to 3 teams in your Team Formation.
Regarding Battles
In all battles within "Exploring the Unknown: The Archaeologist and the Land Lost to Time," a special condition of "No Buff/Debuff Stacking" is set.
Depending on the battle, there may be cases where defeating a specific enemy is set as the victory condition.
Additionally, during battle, you can check information such as the enemy's skills and status changes by tapping on the enemy character.
Analyze enemy actions and statuses to maneuver to your advantage!
Interrupting Exploration
You can interrupt your exploration from the map screen while it is in progress.
After an exploration is interrupted, you can resume from the point where you left off by entering the map screen again.
Ending an Exploration
A single exploration will end when any of the following conditions are met.
- Victory in the battle at the deepest part of the map
- Defeat in battle
- Giving up from the map screen, battle screen, etc.
When an exploration ends, the results are displayed and the score at that point is calculated.
By performing repeated explorations...
By defeating all the previous "Bosses" that appear in Normal Mode, a new boss will appear at the deepest part.
Repeat the exploration and aim for full completion.
Obtaining Rewards
By playing "Exploring the Unknown" repeatedly and increasing your cumulative score, you can receive rewards such as cultivation items.
Rewards can be obtained from "Score Reward".
Rewards are divided into those that can be obtained at any time and those that can only be received during a specific period.

The cumulative score is calculated by combining both Normal Mode and Pickaxe Mode.
