Battle System

Easy-to-Learn Turn-based Combat

Combat is conducted using a turn-based system
where action order is determined by character speed.

When it is time for one of your characters to act, they can either activate a skill or wait.

A Variety of Skills

Characters can use one skill from the three or four they possess during their turn.
Each skill requires a set amount of View Power to activate.
View Power is gained each time a character acts, and it is consumed when skills are activated.

Rigging Action Order in Your Favor

By selecting "Wait" when a character's action comes up, you can push their action to the end of the turn.
Choosing "Wait" when you want another character to act first or when you need to adjust View Power can expand your strategies.

The Key to Victory: Manipulating View Power

View Power is shared by both sides, and your foes will sometimes use powerful skills that consume View Power.
If an enemy is winding up for a powerful, View Power-consuming skill, their icon will change on the timeline as a warning.
That's your cue to use as much View Power with your party as you can, shutting down the enemy's skill activation and giving yourself the advantage.

Battle with Duos: Heroes and Sidekicks

You can form a combat team with a maximum of five Duos, each consisting of a Hero and a Sidekick.
Heroes are the stars of the show, standing on the front lines and fighting, using their heroic Skills against their foes.
Sidekicks pair up with them and support them from the back.
By assigning a Sidekick to a Hero, you will be able to use that Sidekick's skill in battle, as well as give the assigned Hero a stat boost depending on the Sidekick's stats.

Formation Order Adds Strategy

The higher up a character is in your formation, the more often the enemy will attack them.
By assigning characters with high HP or excellent defensive skills further up, you can increase your team's chance of survival.

Growth System

Trained for Battle

Your Heroes will increase levels and ranks by winning battles and using items.
Increasing a Hero's rank will increase their max level and can boost their skills as well.
Heroes will also change their appearance when they reach certain ranks.

Better Together

Hero-Sidekick Duos have a "Relations" stat that shows how deep the relationship they share is.
A strong bond will boost the stat increase your Hero receives while in a Duo with that Sidekick and also allow them to acquire the latter's passive "Equipable Skill."

The Other Side of Heroing

You can send a team of Heroes out on sales and let the time tick down. When the sales mission is complete, the participating heroes will reap their rewards in the form of experience and boosting items.
Since Heroes out on sales can also take part in battle, sending them on company missions and having them fight at the same time is a good way to train them up quickly.

Sales Bonuses for More Rewards

You can send specific Heroes on sales to earn bonuses that give you extra items.
The conditions of these bonuses vary depending on a Hero's affinity, rank, and more.

Your Protagonist

Your Character, Your Choice!

You can select from four appearances for your protagonist and assign them one of five voices.
You can also freely choose your gender identity.
This will have no impact on the story aside from some minor dialogue changes for characters during quests.
